PROMISE DELIVERED!

On September 30, 2007 Fountain of Praise held its 3rd Worship for Change concert in aid of the Arrows of God orphanage, Ajah. The concert held at the Lagoon Restaurant in Victoria Island. The event was free of charge and people were invited specially. Several corporate bodies namely C&I Leasing Plc, Protea Hotel [Victoria Island], Frontier Reelmix Ventures, Laterna ventures, Nadina Industries Limited, Kraft, Modamo.com, E&M Business Solutions, Aholiab Works and Gallery magazine sponsored the event and helped to cover the cost of hosting the event.
    For those of us at the event, we remember how the event rocked with King Smith as MC and Bob Fitts, David Baroni, Gbenga Adenuga and Prophecy performing. A photo-documentary was shown to shed light on the work Rev. Mrs D.C. Ogo was doing at the Arrows of God orphanage.
    Lead advisor, Worship for Change concerts in a few words encouraged all present to make a difference by giving. Over N3 million was pledged. N2.7 million was redeemed. Amount redeemed has been utilised in procuring and installing a brand new 60kva generator. We also built the orphanage a diesel tank and supplied 500 litres of diesel. We also procured for them 3 air conditioners in addition to redesigning and printing corporate brochures for the orphanage.
    Rev. Mrs. Ogo who initially had been a bit skeptical about our efforts due to been deceived in the past by other persons and organizations was overjoyed when the generator was delivered. According to her, Oke-Iranla, Ajah where the orphanage is located experiences power cuts for more than a week. This generator has helped to provide comfort for the hundreds of children including babies in this orphanage.
    The generator, diesel, tank, air conditioners and brochures were officially presented to the Rev. Mrs. Ogo in full view of a number journalists who had been invited to the presentation. Mrs Ogo, the staff and the children at the orphanage expressed their deep appreciation to all who gave. At Fountain of Praise we are also saying a PROFOUND thank you.
